My name is Clyde Surrett and this is my family.
I am enrolled at AB Tech in the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program (BLET).
I have been married for 14 years to my lovely wife Jamie. Together we have three children Corey
(11), Cody (8), and Samantha (5). Besides my family, the other passion in my life is the Lord.
I am a licensed Minister and attend Cross Rock Baptist Church in Madison County.
I used to be the on radio (WKJV1380am) every Sunday morning at 7:30 am

My church family is a large part of my life, with my wife as a Sunday School teacher and myself
as an Asst. Sunday School Superintendent, we spend a lot of time with the church.
On to my third passion and that is Karate! I have been involved in the Martial Arts
for over 18 years I am Nationally ranked with the USA KARATE Federation, United States (USA) Martial Arts Federation,
and member of The Brother hood of Martial Artiest,
Tang Shou Empty hand Society of Martial Artists,
Diversified League Of Martial Artists, International Federation of Hispanic Martial Artists,
Koreja Do Christian Martial Arts Association, USA Jujitsu Federation
and Global Black Belt Society and the American Budo Society..
I chose to design this web page on my family
and our experience with the Martial Arts.
Hello my name is Jamie Surrett and I am enrolled at AB Tech working on my teaching Degree, in
2008 I will transfer to ECU to finish my degree. I am also enrolled at CMA in the weapons class and just
got promoted to yellow belt. I homeschooled my kids for most of there lives, but after my accident in 2006 I decided
that I was not able to continue. So after much prayer we put our kids in public school but who knows in a few years
they may want to come back home.. My prayers are that God have his will done in our lives...
Corey has been in Karate since he was four years old.
He is developing his skills and is becoming a great karate student.
Corey also placed with in the top four in the state last year and placed in the top 25 fighters in his age group at the
Nationals. We are very PROUD of him..
Corey has earned an Green Belt in his class.
He loves helping in the Karate Tot Class and being called Mudansha by the 5 year olds.
Besides karate Corey is a very artistic child. He loves to color, paint, and draw.
He takes pottery classes at the Odyssey in Asheville and he shows great talent.
Cody has been in karate since he was four years old and he absolutely
loves it. Cody shows a bit of an aggressive fighting style and likes to kick and punch
with full power. His Sensei has commented that, "Cody has a powerful round house."
Cody has earned the rank of yellow belt w/strip. Cody also took first place at state in his age group and then moved up an age group and took second.
Over the summer Cody took fourth at the Nationals, We are very PROUD of him also well..
Besides karate Cody enjoys playing with his dump
trucks in the mud, shooting his BB gun with Dad, climbing trees and playing in the woods.
He also loves our dog "Ditto" and will lay around with him on the couch and sneak the
dog into his top bunk at night.
This is Samantha aka "Manfey".
She loves to put on the gloves at home and beat up her brothers.
Well Look out Karate Tots Samantha has joined your class and she loves
kicking and punching she has earned the rank of orange belt w/white strip.. Samantha's mom wants her
to love dresses and lace, but with two brothers around she prefers to play trucks and
dig in the mud. At times she has the boys playing tea party and house "LOL". Manfey likes
Scooby Doo and My little ponys, she loves to look at her books and has a thing for
"pockey books" (pocket books), and shoes....
